Manali and Its Natural Splendor

Manali is a beautiful hill station surrounded by snow covered mountains and dense forest. This exotic place is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh and is famed for its natural splendor. Manali lies at an altitude of 6260 ft and is the chief hill station in the Kullu Valley, whose grandeur lies in the ever flowing Beas River with conifer forest and crop orchards climbing up to the snow covered Himalayas. This breath taking hill station is sandwiched between the tall peaks of Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar. This place is also considered as the holy abode of several gods and goddesses, painted with colorful festivals, fairs and pretty shrines.

Transport
The nearest railway station is located at Chandigarh and Pathankot. From these places you can reach Manali by road.
Manali is well connected by road with many places of the country such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Shimla, Ambala and many other places. Regular buses are provided between these stations whereas for Leh, it is connected during July to October.
The nearest airport is in Bhuntar town which is about 50 km from Manali.

Manali is a famed hill station among the tourists. Visitors of Manali contribute to almost one fourth of the total tourists that visit Himachal Pradesh. This temple is located in old Manali, at a distance of 3 km from the main market. The temple is dedicated to Indian sage Manu, who is considered to be the creator of the world. The calm and peaceful surrounding of this area will give you peace of mind and comfort.
Vashisth
This spot is located on the banks of the majestic River Ravi. This place is gifted with natural springs and extraordinary sand stone temples. It is located at the suburbs of the town. The springs of Vashisth are considered to be important for their medicinal values as the gushing water of the hot springs are excellent ailments for skin diseases.
Monasteries
As the major part of the population of Manali comprises of Tibetan people, there are several Tibetan monasteries over here. These monasteries are rich in conserving the culture of the Tibetan people. These colorful monasteries are famous for its carpet weaving unit where the inhabitants make handicrafts of diverse kinds that draw the tourists towards it.
